Arep means hope in Sasak language. It reflects what the launch of this first bag represents to Andy: the hope that growing demand for his craftsmanship can create lasting work for him, support his family, and open up new opportunities within his village.
Each bag is carefully crafted and handmade by Andy and his family in Lombok. This bag is particularly unique because only two of his artisans know how to create this specific pattern.

All products are carefully hand-crafted in Lombok, Indonesia by our local craftsman Andy and his family. Their craft has been passed down for generations and is widely recognized on the island.
The support our supplier receives is manifold. First, through Loyá Ragi our craftsman is able to sell significantly more products than he would on his own. Second, he receives a fair profit share from every sale we make. This supports him and his family directly, and also helps keeping the tradition alive. And last but not least, your orders create a stable income and even job opportunities for locals as he needs to hire more people for fulfilling the orders. In short, every order literally helps sustain an entire village 🤎
We produce on-demand and ship in bulk to reduce our ecological footprint. So depending on how many orders we have at a given time, it may sometimes take up to a few weeks until you receive your order. But you will always be updated on the status on your order.
